November 5, Kamenets District. A large dairy farm was ceremonially opened at AgroNiva OJSC in Kamenets District. Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko took part in the ceremony, BELTA reports.
The dairy
farm is located in the agro-village of Dolbizno. Previously, 600 heads of dairy cattle were kept on its territory. Reconstruction began last summer, the project envisages significant expansion. The farm invested its own
money in the construction , the state provided financial support, and credit resources were attracted. So far, the first start-up complex has been implemented: the number of dairy cattle has increased to 1.6 thousand heads. After the commissioning of the dairy farm, the total number of livestock on the dairy farm will be even larger.
"As always, by November 7, we ceremoniously open especially significant facilities," noted Yuriy Shuleiko. In his opinion, the complex in "AgroNiva" turned out to be gorgeous. Everything is done competently and conveniently for people to work.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the country pays a lot of attention to the development of agriculture. By the end of the year, 60 new dairy farms will be built. Approximately the same number of facilities will be included in the program for next year. "We are adding very seriously from year to year thanks to what we build. We know how to build, how to work with a dairy herd, hence the success," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
Yuriy Shuleiko drew attention to the training of personnel for the agricultural sector. Great hopes are placed on students of agricultural classes. "No country can survive without agriculture, without food.
Belarus is one of the most self-sufficient countries in the world in terms of food. We
EXPORT more than 50% (and in some cases 70% and 80%)
. This is worth a lot. This is decades of work by the
HEAD of our state, you directly (farm workers. - BELTA note)," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The hard work of villagers, the introduction of advanced technologies, and the renewal of the material and technical base allow the Brest Region to occupy a leading position in the country. "The Brest Region ranks first in
MILK yield per cow, in marketability, milk quality, and in pig weight gain, and cattle are in second place
. All this taken together is the result of the work of our villagers. Almost a third of the milk produced in the country is produced in the Brest Region," Dmitry Gorodetsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, gave several examples. In the Brest Region, 33 dairy farms are planned to be commissioned by the end of this year. We are talking about new construction and reconstruction.
In the run-up to November 7, industrial and social facilities, sports grounds are being ceremonially opened in the Brest region.
