In the Altai Territory, two illegal transportation of horses across the state border was stopped in a week

In the Kulunda region, when examining a truck with a trailer, a discrepancy was found between the actual number of animals declared in the Customs Union certificate form No. 1 (35 heads in the certificate, actually 44 heads) and the absence of chips indicated in the inventory of the certificate. Citizens of Kazakhstan purchased horses, according to the submitted accompanying documents, in the Altai Republic and transported them to the Republic of Kazakhstan .

The next day, in the same area, the fact of transportation by a citizen of the Russian Federation without veterinary accompanying documents of the EAEU and signs of identification (chips, brand, tags) of 36 horses to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan was revealed.

In order to establish epizootic well-being, the animals were detained and placed in isolation for quarantine measures under the control of the state veterinary service of the Altai Territory. Based on the results of the activities, the issue of further movement of animals or their slaughter will be considered.

Given that the above facts are a gross violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Union, carriers are brought to administrative responsibility. All costs associated with keeping animals and carrying out quarantine measures are borne by violators.

For reference: since the beginning of 2023, thanks to close interdepartmental cooperation between employees of the Office of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Altai Territory and the Republic of Altai and employees of the Altai Customs, the Border Directorate of the Federal Security Service for the Altai Territory, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory, illegal transportation of more than 340 horses across the State border has been stopped.
