The capacity of the complex is designed to produce up to 45 million cans per year, which will ensure the uninterrupted operation of the MEAT processing enterprise, which previously purchased containers in other regions.
“We used to buy containers in Magnitogorsk and Primorsky Krai. This is almost 5 thousand kilometers to the west and about 3 thousand to Primorye. Carrying an empty can was economically unprofitable and also increased the price of the product itself due to overhead costs. The construction of a tin can complex in the region, right at the place of production, was the best solution. Tin cans will be produced in accordance with GOST. Sealed, made of thin tinned sheet, they are designed for long-term storage of meat products. Such packaging is environmentally friendly and safe for the consumer, and will help our products become even more competitive,” said Alamzhi Syrenov, General DIRECTOR of Buryatmyasprom LLC.
“This project has a lot of economic effects,” says Aleksey Tsydenov, HEAD of the Republic of Buryatia. - The first is the support of the main production of Buryatmyasprom, since the enterprise produces canned products. At the same time, all containers are purchased and brought in, the cost of transportation is quite high, and this affects the price of the final product. Now the production is fully organized on site: both the can and the product are produced here, which gives flexibility to production - it reduces the cost of finished products, opens up new markets, and increases the competitiveness of our Buryat stew and other derivatives. Together, this gives the development of the republic as a whole. Today, the company also launched the first production of foil packaging in RUSSIA, for example, for cereals and pates. It also opens up opportunities for launching new types of products and, as a result,
Under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV), more than 6 million rubles have been invested in the Baikal Tin Company LLC project, and about 20 local residents work at the enterprise.
