Poultry enterprises of the Vologda region are waiting for a total check

Veterinarians will check the level of biological safety for the threat of the introduction of highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry farms in the Vologda, Cherepovets, Sheksninsky and Veliky Ustyug regions.

The check is connected with the identified foci of the disease in 28 regions of RUSSIA.

Employees of poultry farms are ordered to ban the breeding of poultry in private farms, including ornamental ones, such as pigeons.

Veterinarians themselves during the inspection period are required to observe quarantine between visits to two enterprises for 48 hours.

We add that bird flu is a particularly dangerous disease that causes great damage to the poultry industry, and some subtypes of the virus can be dangerous to humans.
