"2024 - our draft federal budget includes 550 billion rubles (to support the agro-industrial complex - TASS note ). If we look at the law that was adopted a year earlier, 466 billion rubles were allocated for 2024. So, 2023 - the law said 490 billion, in fact we expect 537 billion rubles, that is, there is growth. <…> I know that a number of deputies propose adding resources to support the village to the second reading (of the budget - editor's note), we are ready for such work and are confident that the figure of 550 billion will increase," Siluanov said .
He also noted, TASS reports, that this year, the Finance Ministry, against the backdrop of rising interest rates, will allocate additional funds so that the Russian agricultural sector does not feel the tightening of monetary policy. Siluanov emphasized that all of the Finance Ministry's obligations to ensure reduced lending rates for the agricultural sector will be fulfilled.
