Alcohol sales hours have been restricted in some areas of Belarus

15 May, MINSK . The hours for selling alcoholic beverages have been restricted in some districts of Belarus. The relevant decisions of the district executive committees have been published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BELTA reports.

In Kobrin District, alcoholic beverages will not be sold in retail outlets from 00:00 to 24:00 on 24 May in connection with events aimed at promoting (popularizing) a healthy lifestyle, preventing and combating drunkenness and ALCOHOLISM, and timed to coincide with the Last Bell ceremony. Sales will also be restricted from 00:00 to 24:00 on 13 June in connection with graduation ceremonies at general secondary education institutions.

In Stolin DistrictALCOHOL will not be sold for three days from 00:00 to 24:00 - May 24, June 13, and September 1 in connection with events aimed at promoting (popularizing) a healthy lifestyle, preventing drunkenness and alcoholism, combating them, and timed to coincide with the First School Bell ceremonies.

Alcohol sales will also be limited in Petrikovsky District: from 8:00 on May 24 to 8:00 on May 25, from 8:00 on June 13 to 8:00 on June 14, and from 8:00 on September 1 to 8:00 on September 2.

In Svetlogorsk District, alcohol will not be sold for two days at the same time: from 8:00 on May 24 to 8:00 on May 25 and from 8:00 on June 13 to 8:00 on June 14. In Lelchitsy District, the restrictions will be in effect for a longer period of time: from 8:00 on May 24 to 8:00 on May 25, from 8:00 on May 31 to 8:00 on June 1, from 8:00 on June 13 to 8:00 on June 14, from 8:00 on September 1 to 8:00 on September 2.

The hours for selling alcoholic beverages (vodka, liquor, wine, cognac, brandy, calvados, champagne and other beverages with an ethyl alcohol content of 7 percent or more) in Ostrovets District will be limited from 18:00 on June 13 to 8:00 on June 14 in connection with graduation parties at general secondary education institutions.

And in the Dzerzhinsky district, alcoholic beverages will not be sold from 8:00 on May 24 to 8:00 on May 25 and from 8:00 on June 13 to 8:00 on June 14.

it is noted that the restrictions do not apply to the sale of alcoholic beverages by retail outlets, for wedding celebrations and ritual ceremonies.
