A driver with 2.4 ppm of alcohol rammed a fence and demolished a road sign and lamp in Baranavichy

The accident occurred on August 19 at about 4 am. A drunk 24-year-old resident of the regional center was driving a Nissan along Chernyshevsky Street, lost control and hit a road sign, a fence, and a lighting mast. According to the Internal Affairs Directorate, the driver had 2.4 ppm of alcohol in his body. No one was injured in the road accident. Damage to a road sign, 10 spans of fence and a lighting tower.

The Department of Internal Affairs reminded about the responsibility for driving a car while intoxicated: sanctions include up to 200 basic units (1 BV - Br37) fine and deprivation of the right to drive for up to 5 years. A repeated similar violation entails criminal liability with confiscation of the vehicle, regardless of its ownership.
