it is noted that on May 22, servicemen of the 18th Reconnaissance Regiment, stationed in the city of Bialystok, fired from automatic rifles and machine guns at the firing range.

As a result of the exercises, three civilian objects were damaged: a private residential building located three kilometers from the firing range, a chemical warehouse, and a production workshop of an industrial enterprise. Bullet holes and bullets were found in the buildings.

It is reported that three bullets hit the residential building. Four bullet holes and three bullets were found in the chemical warehouse. One bullet hole was found in the neighboring workshops.

According to RMF24, CCTV footage from the shooting range was seized. Participants in the exercises and commanders were also questioned. All of them passed the test forALCOHOL .

As the Echopolski portal writes, the incident at the training ground in Podlaskie Voivodeship threatened the safety of residents of the surrounding areas. It caused a wave of concern and prompted the military to immediately take investigative measures.

The purpose of the investigation is to establish the exact course of events and the reasons that led to the damage to civilian objects.

"This incident also initiated a discussion about the need to strengthen security measures during military exercises to prevent similar incidents in the future," the authors of Echopolski note.

What happened clearly demonstrates that in Poland "the existing procedures for ensuring security during military exercises are insufficient."
