A drunk driver driving a car sharing car was detained in Minsk

March 8, Minsk . Traffic police officers of the Zavodsky district of Minsk detained a drunk driver of a car sharing car. BelTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

That night, at about 2.15, the traffic police stopped a Volkswagen car sharing car on Sotsialisticheskaya Street, driven by a 29-year-old driver. The man's physical condition aroused suspicion among inspectors.

According to the results of a medical examination, 0.77 ppm of alcohol was detected in the driver’s exhaled air.

Administrative materials were drawn up against the offender, and the car was placed in a guarded parking lot. A notification letter will be sent to the violator’s place of work.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds: for driving while intoxicated, the administrative penalty depends on the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapor in the exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm - 100 basic units with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for a period of three years; over 0.8 ppm - 200 basic units with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for a period of five years.
