More than 500 liters of counterfeit alcohol seized from a married couple in Gomel

January 12, Gomel. Illegal circulation of alcohol-containing liquid was stopped in Gomel. More than 500 liters of counterfeit products were seized, BelTA learned from the information and public relations department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the regional executive committee.

Economic crime operatives of the Novobelitsky and Sovetsky District Departments of Internal Affairs of Gomel, during measures to combat the illegal circulation of counterfeit ALCOHOL and alcohol, identified violators in the Novobelitsky district. In the household of a married couple, they found impressive volumes of alcohol and vodka. A 59-year-old woman and her 64-year-old husband stored 540 liters of alcohol-containing liquid and 40 liters of vodka. All without excise stamps. The couple explained that they purchased products in RUSSIA for their own needs.

The imposing "bar" was confiscated by the militiamen. With regard to the HEAD of the family, administrative protocols were drawn up under part 2 of article 13.21, part 3 of article 13.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (illegal movement, storage of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages, production, processing, storage, movement of non-food alcohol-containing products, ethyl alcohol, tobacco raw materials, sale of these products, alcohol, raw materials and alcoholic beverages).

The Department of Internal Affairs added that the spouses had no previous convictions and were not brought to administrative responsibility.
