Photo: sudexpert.gov.by, December 20, Mogilev. In Babruisk, a woman suffered extensive burns while cooking and died of burn shock. The cause of death was determined by state forensic medical examiners, Irina Rachkovskaya, official spokesperson for the State Forensic Medical Examination Department in the Mogilev Region, told BelTA.

The 65-year-old woman's charred body was discovered by her husband, who had returned home. His wife was lying in the kitchen, directly on the stove. The husband called an ambulance, but the pensioner could not be saved.

A forensic medical examination was conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Experts found that approximately 45% of the deceased's body was covered with second- and third-degree burns, including her HEAD and torso. The burns, sustained during her life, were complicated by the development of burn shock, which was the immediate cause of death.

Ethyl ALCOHOL levels in the deceased woman's blood were found at a concentration of 3 ppm, which may be consistent with severe acute alcohol intoxication.

Investigators determined that the pensioner's death was not criminally motivated: she became ill while cooking and fell onto the stove.

State forensic medical examiners remind us that excessive alcohol consumption not only negatively impacts the human body but also leads to various injuries, some of which can be fatal.
