During the days of the event, the theater will conduct a survey on the main risk factors, employees will have their blood pressure measured, their body mass index determined, an electrocardiogram done, and they will also be asked to take blood tests (general and biochemical with lipid profile determination). Experts will provide medical consultations on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of non-communicable diseases.

“The problem of cardiovascular diseases is very relevant, because they occupy first place among the causes of mortality in our population and first place among the causes of disability. Moreover, this pathology has become much younger. Therefore, it is important to convey to all people how important it is to prevent these diseases. And prevention is it is always easier and cheaper than treating these diseases,” noted Irina Kireeva, head of the main department for control of medical activities, licensing and circulation of medicines of the Ministry of Health.

She emphasized that the development of cardiovascular diseases is associated with risk factors such as hypercholesterolemia, obesity, poor diet , physical inactivity, smoking, alcohol consumption, high blood sugar, stress and hereditary predisposition. If a person has multiple risk factors, the risk of cardiovascular disease and adverse consequences is higher.

To prevent them, and therefore reduce mortality from such diseases, under the auspices of the Belarusian Women's Union, together with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology", the campaign "Taking care of the female heart of Belarus" is being held at large enterprises with maximum coverage of employees.

“The goal is to inform employees as much as possible about what risk factors cause cardiovascular diseases in order to prevent them in time. Although the campaign is called “With care for the female heart of Belarus, we also examine the men who work at these enterprises,” Irina Kireeva clarified She noted

that the main goal of the organizers of the action is to identify the prevalence of risk factors among workers (in this case, the Bolshoi Theater) and implement a prevention program. “Those patients who have identified risk factors or have a disease will receive advice on both diagnosis and treatment. of this disease. And if someone needs to be hospitalized, of course we will do it,” she said.
