
February 19, Minsk Corr. BELTA/. Detectives of the Vitebsk region solved a murder that took place two and a half years ago. This information was published in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, BelTA informs.
In Orsha, in July 2020, the body of a 52-year-old man with signs of violent death was found in an apartment. "Despite the large volume of operational-search activities carried out, it was not possible to solve the crime in hot pursuit. At the same time, work aimed at identifying the person involved in the incident did not stop," the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.After two and a half years, the joint work of the criminal investigation department, investigators and forensic experts gave a result. Law enforcement managed to get on the trail of the suspect. It turned out to be a 50-year-old unemployed resident of Orsha.
As it turned out, on that ill-fated day, the men drank. In order to get money for another portion of alcohol, the person involved offered to hand over his mobile phone to a pawnshop. Later, the buddies had a fight, figuring out how to buy the gadget back. In anger, the guest beat the host and fled. The man was detained and placed in a temporary detention center.
