The conflict of neighbors in Minsk ended in serious bodily injuries: the investigation is completed

February 4, Minsk. The Soviet (Minsk) regional department of the Investigative Committee completed the investigation of a criminal case on infliction of grievous bodily harm on a 33-year-old Minsker. This was reported to BelTA by the official representative of the USC in the city of Minsk, Ekaterina Garlinskaya.

"During the investigation, it was established that on November 9, 2021, in the evening, in one of the houses on V. Khoruzhey Street in Minsk, during the conflict, one of the residents of the house was attacked. The cause of the conflict was the smoking of a group of men in the back room of the house. the guy made a remark to the citizens and asked them to go outside, to which indignation rained down on him.The guy went outside and called the law enforcement agencies.After some time, two men, whom he had seen earlier in the basement, came out of the entrance.The young man returned to the entrance , but the basement was already closed," the USC said.

As he made his way to the poorly lit landing on the ground floor, he noticed a third man from the company at the elevator. The Minsk resident said that he called the police officers, after which both began to swear and speak in raised tones.

The man waited for the elevator and entered it, but the victim decided to come closer to see which floor he would go to in order to report this information to the police officers. At that moment, a 65-year-old Minsker, being intoxicated , stabbed the young man in the chest area with a knife. Immediately after the impact, the victim ran to the floor above for help to the neighbors, who subsequently called an ambulance, while he himself called the police again at that time.

Police arrived quickly and arrested the assailant. During the interrogation, the accused said that after being stabbed, he went to his place of residence, where he disposed of the knife by throwing it into the garbage chute.

As a result of the incident, the victim was hospitalized. According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, he suffered serious bodily injuries on the grounds of danger to life.

The investigation interrogated all the participants in the conflict, as well as witnesses of the incident, in order to establish the circumstances, face-to-face confrontations and an investigative experiment were carried out, CCTV footage was seized and studied. The material characterizing the personality of the defendant is attached to the materials of the criminal case, as well as the conclusions of expert studies conducted by the specialists of the SCSE. According to the results of a comprehensive outpatient psychological and psychiatric examination, the accused at the time of the crime could be fully aware of the actual nature of his actions and manage them.

Upon completion of the investigation, a 65-year-old man was charged under paragraph 7 of part 2 of article 147 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm out of hooligan motives). With the sanction of the prosecutor, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to him.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The materials were handed over to the prosecutor for sending to the court.
