Twelve drunk drivers and 16 unlicensed drivers were detained in the Vitebsk region over the weekend.

May 26, Minsk . Over the past weekend, 32 traffic accidents involving material damage were recorded on the roads of the Vitebsk Region, 14 of which were in the regional capital. This was reported to BelTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Traffic police officers detained 12 drunk drivers and 16 unlicensed drivers. More than 140 pedestrians were cited for traffic violations, 18 of whom were intoxicated.Alcohol intoxication , 21 - without reflective elements.

The traffic police reminded drivers to be extremely attentive and careful on the road, and to obey traffic rules.
