Restrictions are being introduced against six individuals and 24 legal entities.Previously, Ukraine has repeatedly opposed the construction of the Crimean bridge.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine imposed sanctions against individuals and legal entities involved in the construction of the Crimean bridge.

The message of the National Security and Defense Council notes that "the list of individuals and legal entities against which personal special economic and other restrictive measures have been applied" has been expanded. Sanctions are imposed on six people and 24 legal entities "involved in the illegal construction and operation of the railway part of the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait."

Restrictions proposed to introduce the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The sanctions list is not provided in the NSDC statement. Council Secretary Alexei Danilov clarified at the briefing that not only Russian but also foreign companies appear on the list, UNIAN reports. Now the decision must be put into effect by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The sanctions list also includes 18 people "involved in making unjust COURT decisions on the alienation of property of the Crimean diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine", and 52 individuals holding senior positions in the administration of the Republic of Crimea, as they "cause significant damage to the national interests and security of the Ukrainian people ".
