Against the backdrop of sanctions, the delivery time for auto parts has increased to one and a half years, and the most difficult parts to order are Japanese cars of the brands Lexus, Infinity and European Škoda and Mercedes. Izvestia reported this with reference to insurance companies.
Thus, the AdBlue tank for the 2015 Mercedes had to wait 18 months, from May 2022, and the wheel rim for the 2018 Mercedes took 16 months, Absolut Insurance noted.
The information was confirmed by Sovcombank Insurance. The HEAD of the company, Igor Lappi, clarified that the most difficult parts to order are Japanese and Korean cars Toyota, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Honda, Kia and Hyundai - on average, they are delivered in six months, but there is no maximum period.
Spare parts for Infinity cars are now not delivered at all due to sanctions from Japan, Absolut Insurance reported. The MAX company noted significant problems with official deliveries to European Škoda, Renault and Opel.
Absolute Insurance explained the current situation by saying that spare parts are brought through international hubs - Turkey or the UAE, as well as in transit through the Baltic countries, Belarus, Georgia andKazakhstan.
There are delays in cargo at customs, and there are also obstacles in sending parts on the manufacturer’s side without explanation, Sovcombank Insurance added.
