In Russia, the level of herd immunity rose to 61.8% in a week, the operational headquarters reports. Prior to that, the website of the headquarters indicated that the level was 60.4%. But on December 28, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the figure increased by 0.7 percentage points, to 61.1%.

Golikova on December 30 stated that in the country vaccination with the first component was carried out 78.6 million times, vaccination of the full cycle - 74.5 million times.

“We already have four leading regions where the level [herd immunity] exceeded 80%. These are Sevastopol (90.2%), St. Petersburg (80.9%), Chukotka (80.7%) and Karelia (80.4%),” Golikova added.

According to her, the Tyva Republic (78.1%) and the Moscow Region (77.2%) are also approaching the 80% mark.

In Moscow, the level of herd immunity continues to decline. Thus, as of December 30, this figure was 71.4%, which is 0.8 p.p. less than last week. On December 24, the level of herd immunity in the capital was at 72% - then the figure also decreased by 0.2% compared to last week.
