The World HEALTH Organization (WHO) may recognize the Russian covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V in the coming months, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
“I am deeply convinced that literally within a few months, foreseeable prospects, the WHO will nevertheless recognize Sputnik and will also be able to move forward along this path with the Europeans,” Peskov said.
According to him, one can argue for a long time why WHO has not yet recognized the Russian vaccine and “what is behind this - some kind of biased attitude towards us or absolutely bureaucratic problems.” Peskov noted that there is a difference between the documentation requirements in RUSSIA and the WHO, it takes time to find a compromise.
