The first batch of Sputnik Light vaccine arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod Region

More than 18,000 doses have already been delivered to 76 medical organizations in the region. The Sputnik Light vaccine is intended primarily for those who have recovered from covid-19and also for revaccination. According to the press service of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as a priority, Sputnik Light will vaccinate young citizens, people who recovered from COVID-19 more than six months ago, as well as those who had previously been vaccinated with Sputnik V. Svetlana Belozerova, Deputy Minister of HEALTH of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, said that no special side effects that may occur after vaccination with the Sputnik Light vaccine have been identified.

“Given that this is a one-component vaccine, it contributes to a more rapid formation of immunity. According to the results of clinical trials, she received a very good response among young citizens and those who had a low level of antibodies,” said Svetlana Belozerova.

You can sign up for vaccination with the Sputnik Light vaccine in the same way as for vaccination with any of the existing vaccines. This can be done through the State Services portal or contact directly the medical organization on the basis of which the vaccination point operates.

So far, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, vaccination has been carried out with Gam-Covid-Vac (Sputnik-V) and EpiVacCorona. According to information published on the website of the regional Ministry of Health, as of July 27, the Nizhny Novgorod region received 761.28 thousand doses of the CORONAVIRUS vaccine, 708.6 thousand residents of the region were vaccinated, including 516.3 thousand people received the second application.
