Novosibirsk psychiatric hospital reprofiled into covid hospital

The Novosibirsk State Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 3, located in the Sovietsky district of the city, was redesigned into a hospital for patients with COVID-19 . This was reported in the press service of the government of the Novosibirsk region.

“The hospital in the branch of the psychiatric hospital No. 3, on Berdysheva Street, is designed for 100 beds. Patients of the city hospital No. 3 in a stabilized condition will be transferred to this hospital for aftercare. Medical personnel have completed advanced training courses for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection,” the statement said.

To date, 6,252 beds have been repurposed for patients with COVID-19 in the Novosibirsk Region. Additional places were created both in the existing infectious diseases hospitals and in the infectious diseases departments of the central district hospitals of the region.

Earlier, the authorities opened covid hospitals in the therapeutic building of the City Clinical Hospital No. 25, in the Ob Central City Hospital, in the therapeutic building of the City Hospital No. 1, in the surgical building of the Emergency Hospital No. 2, in the Novosibirsk City Clinical District Hospital No. 1, in Koltsovo, and in children's city hospital № 6.
