White House reports condition of Biden re-infected with COVID-19

U.S. President Joe Biden has tested positive for CORONAVIRUS again and is coughing again, although he is doing well overall. This follows from a statement by the HEAD of state's attending physician, Kevin O'Connor, published by the White House press service.

“The president is still doing well, although his weak cough has returned a bit. He has no fever and remains in good spirits. Body temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and saturation are completely within normal limits. His lungs are clean,” the document says.

The DOCTOR also indicated that Biden's morning covid-19 test came back positive, so the president will continue to be in quarantine and work remotely.

The doctor called the main symptom in Biden, who was ill with covid

The White House announced Biden's COVID-19 on July 21. According to his doctor, the president suffered a mild coronavirus infection, he had a sore throat, a dry cough, a runny nose and increased fatigue. O'Connor suggested that the head of state could have been infected with the BA.5 subvariant of the omicron strain of the coronavirus.

Later, the president took tests for coronavirus several times, and they were negative, but on July 30, he received a positive result. Biden's doctor said that a repeat positive test after recovery rarely occurs in patients who were treated with Pfizer's Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir), which the president received.

Prior to this, Biden was fully vaccinated and received two booster shots. The drug "Paxlovid", which was prescribed by a doctor, was approved by WHO for the treatment of patients with mild forms of the disease, but a high risk of hospitalization.
