July 22, Novolukoml. With the problems of the work of carriers, personal subsidiary farming and a request not to close the school in the agro-town, they turned today to the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova during a reception of citizens in the Novolukoml City Executive Committee, BelTA has learned.

The first to come were the spouses from the agricultural town of Nemoyta, Senno district. For 30 years they have maintained a personal subsidiary farm, raised cows, donated milk . According to them, for many years they have been trying to get some kind of pasture allocated to them. In 2006, the previous lands were transferred to the agricultural enterprise "Druzhbinets". The villagers have a few hectares left, but this is sorely lacking. “We will come with Mikhail Rusy, we will see what can be done and we will try to help,” said Natalia Kochanova.

A resident of Novopolotsk voiced the problem of carriers in the region. According to her, the regional transport company "Transportation Operator" holds competitions among carriers very rarely. When the permit expires, it is not renewed. Regular competitions are either not organized, or the "Transportation Operator" conducts them non-transparently, the businesswoman believes. It was ordered to look into this issue.

A resident of the agricultural town of Androny, Postavy District, asked about the work of an educational institution. There were two schools in their village council. In Androny, they decided to close the nursery-garden - the basic school. From September 1, parents were offered to take their children to the center of the village council in Postavy or in Kuropolye to a kindergarten, although, according to the man, the conditions in this educational institution are worse than in the Andronovo kindergarten. Therefore, parents and teachers still offer not to close their school and take children from Kuropolye to them. Natalya Kochanova promised to sort out the issue, the problem should be solved on the spot with parents, teachers and competent authorities.

A summer resident from the village of Zhuki came to the reception on behalf of himself and the villagers with a request to install a small bridge across the Usveyka River, fence off the cemetery and carry out patching in the village. The bridge is needed by local residents to get to the FAP, the store, to the forestry. Today they started to put the road in order, they promised to sort out the rest of the issues in the coming months with a trip to the village.

Communicating with journalists, Natalya Kochanova noted that the Council of the Republic discussed new forms of work with people and it was decided to hold a single reception day. Today, the senators are working in the districts of the Vitebsk region, in the future they will hold meetings with people in other regions. "Tomorrow we will sum up the work with citizens' appeals and consider the most pressing issues of the region's residents at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic in Ushachi. This form of communication with citizens allows us to find out the most pressing issues in a particular area, in order to then work with local authorities, governors, ministries and departments for a comprehensive solution of problems," the Chairman of the Council of the Republic stressed.

Natalya Kochanova added that one of the priorities of the authorities is the uniform development of the regions. For this, people need to stay in the regional centers, there should be work, social facilities, and comfortable living conditions. "Deputies of all levels should constantly work with people and get involved in solving their problems. Local authorities need to be more attentive to people's questions," the speaker of the upper house of parliament emphasized. people have a desire to work, but they also need help, because not everything is in their power.

During the reception, more than 20 people addressed the Chairman of the Council of the Republic. The applicants raised issues of rental housing, improvement and lighting of streets in villages, pension payments, obtaining citizenship and other topics.
