In the Astrakhan region, the Stepnaya poultry farm, which is on the verge of ruin, will find a reliable investor. This is now being done in the regional Ministry of Agriculture. The situation at the enterprise is difficult, but there is hope for a speedy recovery of production, according to the staff of the poultry farm.
- Our production is operational, the factory has always flourished, there were a lot of eggs. Now the company is on its knees.
This is the Stepnaya poultry farm in the village of Nikolaevka, Narimanov district. The working team is 90 people, all of them are local residents. They are seriously worried and sound the alarm. Indeed, in its best years, the factory closed the supply of eggs to the region by 97%, no less, the old-timers said. Today, the volumes are scanty, there is not enough feed and the productivity of poultry has decreased. There are days when only 300-350 eggs are collected.
- The bird is young, it was brought in two months ago. We should give a peak, a large amount, but we give below 50%.
All these are echoes of a long-standing crisis aged 6-7 years. It was then that the heads of the enterprise changed like gloves, workers say. In the meantime, there was a struggle for the director's chair, the factory's debts grew.
“The reason is the frequent change of leadership. People came and did not think about the development of the factory. Today we need working capital, give us a subsidized loan for 3 years, during which time you will not recognize the factory,” Magomed Musaev, the first deputy director of the poultry farm, is convinced.
But what about the old debts that were inherited from the previous leadership, they ask the regional ministry. Sooner or later they have to close. And so it happened. The first billed energy. So far, the power has been turned off in the auxiliary rooms. Next, they were going to cut off the production shops, plus they ran out of food, but here the ministry intervened in time.
“Now I personally deal with feed, they are already coming to the factory. We are also in constant contact with the power industry and, despite the large debt, we managed to agree so that production does not suffer. At the moment, we are corporatizing the factory, this has been agreed with the deputies. We are currently negotiating with potential investors. They will be, and we will get a comprehensive development of the enterprise,” said the Minister of Agriculture of the Astrakhan region Ruslan Pashayev.
According to the minister, first of all, the enterprise needs renovation with a complete replacement of old equipment. This is what the new investor will focus on.
“The products of the poultry farm have a high reputation, so I believe that we have the opportunity to save the enterprise, but the situation is not easy and this must be taken into account,” emphasizes Ruslan Pashayev.
The deep professional competence of its employees and specialists will also help to revive the factory. They are ready to support investors. There is also a roadmap for overcoming the crisis. It is noteworthy that despite the heavy burden of old debts, the enterprise has no wage arrears.
