So, a fatal incident was registered on Saturday, November 13, at about 8.25 in the Dobrush region. On the 8th km of the Terekhovka-Steppe-Nivki road, the 61-year-old Renault driver lost control of the road at the rounding of the road, drove to the side of the road, then into a ditch and crashed into trees. The driver died at the scene, two passengers were not injured.

On the same day at about 20.00 in the Zhitkovichi region, a 36-year-old without rights driving a Volkswagen did not take into account the visibility of the road, the weather conditions, lost control, jumped into a ditch and drove into a power line pylon. The driver and 19-year-old passenger were injured, both were hospitalized.

On Sunday, at about 1.45 am in the Kormyansk district, an Audi driven by a 25-year-old driver crashed into a Volkswagen standing on the side of the road and overturned. The man was taken to the emergency room.

The UGAI added that over the past weekend in the Gomel region, law enforcement officers detained 19 drivers in a state of intoxication and 67 drivers without the right to drive. "It's no secret that under the influence of alcohol the driver loses his sense of responsibility, neglects the real danger and is not able to realize the possible consequences of his actions. This, as a rule, leads to traffic accidents with the most serious consequences," state traffic inspectors recalled. In addition, there were 55 drunk pedestrians on the roadway at the weekend.
