Australia has imposed sanctions for the second time in connection with the death of Alexei Navalny , according to the website of the country's Foreign Ministry.

The sanctions included Deputy DIRECTOR of the Federal Penitentiary Service Valery Boyarinev, HEAD of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Igor Rakitin and the head of IK-3 in the village of Kharp, where oppositionist Vadim Kalinin died.

Australia imposed past sanctions on February 26 against the former deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Alexei Girichev, the head of IK-6 in the Vladimir region, where Navalny was previously held, Dmitry Nozhkin, his four deputies - Yuri Fomin, Danila Sinyukhin, Anatoly Gorshkov and Dmitry Makorin, and colony employee Mikhail Neimovich.

The Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported Navalny’s death in the colony on February 16. The department said that during the walk he became ill and lost consciousness; arriving doctors pronounced him dead .
