For the first time, more than a hundred children with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the situation with the incidence of coronavirus in children has worsened. As of August 3, more than 100 minors were hospitalized with covid-19 in hospitals of the republic. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of HEALTH of the region Irina Kononova.

“The longer and slower regions and countries are vaccinated, the more virulent the virus becomes, and several mutations are known to date. Of these, three have differences and a higher level of spread and damage. We now have a rather difficult situation with children, for the first time more than 100 children are in hospitals, ”Kononova said.

According to her, children are hospitalized with a moderate severity of the disease when the temperature rises.

In total, 728 residents of Bashkiria receive treatment in hospitals of the republic, of which more than 400 people are people over 60 years old. The condition of 51 patients is regarded by doctors as serious, four people are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. At the same time, the Ministry of Health emphasizes that there are no vaccinated against COVID-19 among seriously ill patients. 2.49 thousand people are on outpatient treatment.

As RBC Ufa reported, 258 cases of coronavirus were detected in the region per day, the total number of infected exceeded 49 thousand people, 796 patients have died in the region since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 45 thousand residents of the republic have recovered. According to Kononova, the rate of coronavirus incidence in the region has slightly decreased in recent days, but Bashkiria has not yet reached a peak, much less a plateau, in COVID-19.
