A part of the Ponart brewery will be opened in Kaliningrad

In the summer of 2022, it is planned to open the first retail and public spaces in the Ponart complex, the illumination of the external facade from the side of Sudostroitelnaya Street should start working. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

In October-November, the owner of the facility, entrepreneur Alexei Popov, intends to gradually commission the rest of the complex's buildings.

The final concept of adapting the complex to modern use involves the creation of an entire block on its site with shops, a hotel, restaurants and cafes, a farmers' market, and an entertainment center.

Under the regional program for the restoration of monuments, the Ponarta project will receive 332 million rubles. At the moment, the investor has received about a third of this amount for the restoration of the monument, but given the accelerated pace of work, it was decided to speed up the provision of the remaining limits, the government noted. This will allow not to stop work due to rising prices for equipment: elevators, escalators. Now the investor is reconsidering the purchase of some of these positions from among those that have risen in price several times over.

“We can move “to the left” in terms of the pace of funding. Now you have chosen 122 million rubles, but you can use the rest - about 200 million - to accelerate the completion of the first and second stages of work. Let's proceed from the situation. We will not leave the project without support, but we also recommend using the tools that have now been launched at the federal level: the import substitution exchange and others,” Governor Anton Alikhanov said during a visit to Ponart.
