Nine people died of coronavirus in Bashkiria

Over the past day in Bashkiria , nine patients have died from the effects of covid-19 . Thus, the total number of victims of the pandemic in the republic has reached 875 people, according to the operational headquarters for combating CORONAVIRUS infection. A day earlier, on August 11, eight deaths were registered in the region, and nine deaths on August 10.

During the day, 271 people were infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Bashkiria. The total number of cases for the entire time has reached 51,444. 333 patients have recovered. In total, 47,078 residents of the republic overcame the coronavirus infection.

The vaccination campaign continues. In Bashkiria, more than 1 million people received the first component of the coronavirus vaccine. 811.1 thousand residents of the region have completed vaccination.

As RBC Ufa reported, 4.47 thousand infectious beds have been deployed in Bashkiria for patients with coronavirus and with suspected COVID-19. Of these, 12% of the beds are free. According to the Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic, among patients in hospitals, the virus was confirmed in 728 people, the condition of 53 of them is assessed by doctors as serious. Eight patients are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. Of all those hospitalized with confirmed coronavirus, more than 50% are people over 60 years old.

At a meeting of the operational headquarters of the Republic of Belarus, it was decided to conduct exercises in medical institutions in case of accidents with oxygen equipment. The training will take place after the tragedy in North Ossetia, where nine patients on mechanical ventilation died due to a burst oxygen pipe.
