The injectable form of the CORONAVIRUS drug Areplivir will go on sale in early December. This was announced in an interview with RIA Novosti by the chairman of the board of directors of the manufacturing company Promomed, Petr Bely.

“From the beginning of December, it will begin to go on sale. And we will be able to provide for the whole country, all regions of the country,” Bely said. He assured that supply disruptions and shortages of the drug are not expected.

The injection form of the drug was registered the day before, on November 12. He is allowed to enter into civil circulation for five years.

The tablet form of Areplivir was approved by the Ministry of HEALTH in June 2020. The main active ingredient of the drug is favipiravir. In September last year, the Ministry of Health allowed its outpatient use. The medicine officially entered pharmacies in September last year. The recommended retail price of the drug was 12,320 rubles. for 40 tablets.
