Nine people arrested at anti-COVID pass protests in Paris

In Paris, police have arrested nine people at protests against the COVID pass bill, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said on Twitter.

“Thank you to the security forces mobilized to provide security for today's protests. I strongly condemn aggressive behavior directed against some police officers, gendarmes and journalists,” Darmanen added.

The police prefecture notes that on the evening of July 24, two policemen were attacked.

Earlier, the Le Monde newspaper, citing data from the French Ministry of the Interior, wrote that on July 24, 160,000 people in France protested against a bill proposing the introduction of COVID passes for visiting public institutions, as well as obliging healthcare workers to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
