The number of cases of COVID-19 in Bashkiria exceeded 120 thousand people

In Bashkiria, 348 new cases of coronavirus have been registered over the past day. The total number of infected people has reached 120,289, according to the operational headquarters of the region to combat COVID-19 .

In the republic, 22 deaths from coronavirus were recorded per day. The total number of victims of the infection since the beginning of the pandemic is 4297 people. 109,489 residents of the republic have already managed to cope with the disease, 399 patients were discharged with recovery the day before.

Mass vaccination of the adult population against coronavirus continues in the republic. More than 2.17 million people have already been vaccinated with the first component, and 2.01 million people with the second.

As RBC Ufa reported, on December 20, the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor began checking on mandatory vaccination at enterprises of the republic. Until December 18, according to the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of Bashkiria, 80% of employees of medical, educational and social institutions, law enforcement agencies, as well as officials, military, trade and service workers were to be vaccinated. After this date, employers may remove unvaccinated employees from duty without pay. Companies that violate the requirements face fines and suspension of activities. During the first three days of inspections, Rospotrebnadzor identified an enterprise in Beloretsk, where the percentage of employees vaccinated did not reach 80%.

Until December 30, the requirements of the sanitary doctor for mandatory vaccination must be met at enterprises in several other industries: construction, design, industry and agriculture.
