Quotes Nielsen in the moment collapsed by 16.41% to $20.43. As of 18:00 Moscow time, the decline slowed down to 8.72%, the share price was $22.31. This is evidenced by trading data on the New York Stock Exchange.

The catalyst for the decline was the company's rejection of a takeover bid by Elliott Investment Management and Brookfield Asset Management. The conglomerate offered $25.40, but Nielsen considered the price too low. One of the largest shareholders of Windacre Partnership said that the cost of Nielsen shares exceeds $40 per share. It is reported by Bloomberg.
