An outbreak of covid-19 was detected at the production site of the Velikie Luki MEAT Processing Plant, reports the Internet portal of the city of Velikiye Luki, citing the Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Vedernikov on Instagram.

The official TELEGRAM channel of the region states that the test for a new CORONAVIRUS infection was positive in 22 employees of the enterprise.

The previous outbreak at the Velikoluksky Meat Processing Plant was recorded in June 2020. At that time, 63 people were infected with the coronavirus, and on behalf of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexei Zakharov, the regional prosecutor's office arranged an inspection of the enterprise. it showed serious miscalculations of the management of Velikoluksky Meat Processing Plant in organizing preventive measures.
