August 15, MINSK. A car-sharing car caught fire in an accident in Minsk, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
The road incident occurred on August 14 at about 8.40. Traffic police officers drew attention to the carsharing car "Volkswagen". The inspectors gave a signal to stop, but the driver ignored the demands of law enforcement officers. "A pursuit began, during which the driver of the car lost control, drove off the roadway and crashed into a lighting tower. The car caught fire from the impact," the UGAI said.According to law enforcement officers, the car was driven by a 24-year-old driver who had signs of intoxication . According to the results of the study, 1.55 ppm of ALCOHOL was revealed. Administrative materials have been drawn up against the violator. The car was transported to a guarded parking lot.
The UGAI reminded that driving while intoxicated is a potentially dangerous and gross violation of traffic rules.
