April 5, Minsk. The central (Minsk) regional department of the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case on attempted bribery of an official. This was reported to BelTA by the Investigative Committee.
On the afternoon of March 27, a 60-year-old Rover driver ran over a road sign on Starovilensky Trakt. The accident attracted the attention of traffic police passing by. The administrative protocol regarding the driver was drawn up in the official transport, and the physical condition of the driver aroused suspicion in the inspector. According to the results of the examination, it turned out that the concentration of alcohol vapor in the exhaled air was more than 2 ppm.To avoid responsibility, the man repeatedly offered money to the traffic police officer. Despite a criminal warning, the offender left a $100 bill in the company car. An investigative team was immediately called to the scene.
A criminal case was initiated against a 60-year-old Minsker under Part 1 of Art. 14 h. 1 tbsp. 431 (attempt to give a bribe) of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been arrested and investigations are underway. The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to ten years in prison.
