RUSSIA and its friendly countries are looking for new ways to interact against the background of the imposition of sanctions and the emergence of other risks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with TASS.
“The situation is not easy, it can rather be described as difficult in terms of this unprecedented economic war. But there is no evil without good. This situation is pushing us and our friendly countries to look for new ways of interaction, new mechanisms of interaction, new mechanisms for financial settlements,” he said.
According to the press secretary, now "the role of reserve currencies is inevitably weakening", in addition, states "are losing confidence in legal and financial systems." Peskov noted that “reasonable investors” began “after all, putting their eggs in different baskets,” realizing that there are threats of losing money invested in a particular country or object.
Peskov urged to call countries unfriendly to Russia hostile Politics
The Russian government approved the list of unfriendly states in early March. It includes 46 countries: 27 members of the European Union, the United States , Great Britain, Switzerland, CANADA, Australia, Japan, Ukraine, and others. Many of them have imposed sanctions against Russia. Peskov then noted that Washington had launched an “economic war” against Moscow. According to the spokesman, in order not to lose in it, Russia must "do what is best in our interests."
