Canada's new sanctions hit 39 individuals and 25 organizations. Among them are the banks Tinkoff and Tochka, four mobile operators, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science, their heads, as well as Shaman, Kirkorov, Mikhalkov, Prigozhin and Valeria

CANADA introduced new sanctions against Russian companies and individuals; among those subject to restrictions were Tinkoff Bank and mobile operators MTS, MegaFon and Tele2, as well as payment systems Mir and Yandex Pay. The list is published on the government website.

Also among the organizations on the sanctions list:

Ministry of Culture and Science and Higher Education; Tochka Bank; financial consulting company "M-Finance"; Moscow City Cossack Society; news portals “One Motherland”, “Russian Spring ” and LLC “Readovka”, founder of the portal of the same name; companies whose activities were associated with the Wagner PMC and its HEAD Yevgeny Prigozhin - Africa Political Science, Charter Green Light Moscow, Lakhta Park and Lakhta Plaza; the company SMT-iLogic, which was associated with the Russian drone industry; Besogon LLC (founder - Nikita Mikhalkov, owns the BesogonTV trademark), etc.

President Vladimir Putin called sanctions against RUSSIA “crazy” and “thoughtless” and noted that they could not have a serious impact on the country.

Tinkoff Bank said that being sanctioned was “expected” and the organization will do “everything possible” to ensure that “this news goes as unnoticed as possible” for its clients.
