Canada imposed sanctions against Tinkoff, singer Shaman and Nikita Mikhalkov

Canada's new sanctions hit 39 individuals and 25 organizations. Among them are the banks Tinkoff and Tochka, four mobile operators, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science, their heads, as well as Shaman, Kirkorov, Mikhalkov, Prigozhin and Valeria

Canada introduced new sanctions against Russian companies and individuals; among those subject to restrictions were Tinkoff Bank and mobile operators MTS, MegaFon and Tele2, as well as payment systems Mir and Yandex Pay. The list is published on the government website.

Also among the organizations on the sanctions list:

Tinkoff Bank said that being sanctioned was “expected” and the organization will do “everything possible” to ensure that “this news goes as unnoticed as possible” for its clients.
