December 2, Orsha. A gala concert was held in Orsha in honor of the best workers of the district's agro-industrial complex, where the best workers of the agricultural sector were awarded well-deserved prizes for their hard work by the regional and district leadership, BELTA reports.

The district holds the palm for the results of the agricultural season. During the current harvesting campaign, Orsha region traditionally took first place among the districts of Vitebsk region. More than 100 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops were collected here.
Machine operators, machine milking operators, poultry farmers, veterinarians, workers in the processing industry and light industry enterprises were in the spotlight. They were presented with honorary certificates from the House of Representatives, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Orsha District Executive Committee.
"This agricultural year has been quite successful for the Orsha district. First of all, thanks to the fact that you work tirelessly in the fields, on farms, in processing organizations. Thanks to the work of your managers, chief specialists, machine operators, poultry farmers, field workers, heads of processing shops, you make a huge contribution to the food security of our Vitebsk region and the country as a whole. Agriculture in the Orsha district is multifaceted. You have agricultural production, processing, retail chains and science. This is from the field to the counter and table. In grain production this year, you were the leaders among the districts. You show significant results in the production of cattle MEAT , MILK. You have all the directions in vegetable growing - open and closed ground vegetables, SUGAR beets , flax. As for animal husbandry, there are successes here that the Orsha and Vitebsk regions are proud of," said the first deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Gennady Sabynich and added, that the farmers of the district have room to grow, someone to look up to, they set higher goals for themselves, which they strive for. For the workers of the village in the city Palace of Culture "Orsha" as a thank you for their contribution to the development of the district, a bright concert with the participation of creative groups was organized. Also, the enterprises of the district presented an exhibition-tasting of their products. These are meat processing plants and a plant, a bakery, as well as masters of folk crafts who preserve the traditions and revive the rituals and recipes of folk cuisine typical of this hospitable region.
