In Russia, more than 700 people died from COVID-19 per day

In RUSSIA, 785 people with CORONAVIRUS infection died per day, follows from the data of the operational headquarters for the fight against the disease in TELEGRAM.

Over the past day, the most deaths were detected in Moscow and St. Petersburg  - 75 and 60, respectively. The third place in this indicator was occupied by the Krasnodar Territory - 34 deaths. This is a new anti-record for the region - 33 people died there the day before. Following are the Moscow region and the Perm region (30 deaths respectively).

In the statistics of the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, only those cases are taken into account when covid-19 became the main cause of death. Since the beginning of the pandemic, according to him, 160,137 people have died in Russia.

Golikova reported a 13.9% increase in deaths in June due to the delta strain Economics
According to Rosstat, there are 289 thousand of those who died in the country from April 2020 to May of this year inclusive. The differences in the numbers of the operational headquarters and Rosstat are due to the fact that the calculations of the statistical agency took into account those cases when the coronavirus was not the main cause of death, but led to complications of another disease or was detected after the death.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, the increase in mortality is due to the spread of the delta strain of coronavirus infection.

In total, 23,508 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Russia over the past day. Without clinical manifestations, the disease occurs in 9.3% of cases over the past day.
