The government of the region called a way to avoid restrictions due to COVID

The authorities of the Novosibirsk region do not exclude the return of the previously existing restrictions in the region, introduced in connection with the spread of the coronavirus, if collective immunity to infection is not formed in the region by autumn. This was reported in the press service of the government of the region.

So far, there are no plans to radically tighten anti-COVID measures in the Novosibirsk Region. At the same time, the fan zone for watching matches of the European Football Championship will be closed, the number of mass events and their participants on City Day in Novosibirsk will be reduced. At the same time, control over sanitary and epidemiological measures in transport, trade and catering establishments will be strengthened. Particular attention will be paid to mass vaccination against coronavirus.

“We have been observing an increase in the incidence for more than two weeks. Taking into account the fact that no cardinal changes or events have occurred over the past month, it can be assumed that the main reason for this is that we all relaxed a little, began to comply with the recommended sanitary safety measures worse, ”Travnikov said at an operational meeting in the regional government.

The head of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Novosibirsk region, Alexander Shcherbatov, noted that no group outbreak of the disease in the region was recorded. At the same time, an increase in the detection of cases has been recorded for three weeks: from 5.9% to 15% per week.

Travnikov noted that the introduction of additional general restrictions will depend entirely on the development of the situation with the spread of coronavirus. Now they do not plan to radically tighten the current high-alert regime, but a number of areas for combating infection will be strengthened.
