Due to the identified cases of sale of fake certificates of vaccination against Covid-19 in other regions, the police of the Novosibirsk region also began to search for fake medical documents.

“The police of the Novosibirsk Region urges citizens to assist in identifying persons engaged in the manufacture and sale of fake certificates of vaccination against a new coronavirus infection, as well as certificates of the presence of antibodies and fake PCR tests,” the message says.

Earlier, RBC reported on the initiation of 44 criminal cases on the falsification of medical documents related to COVID-19 . And in Russia as a whole, the supply of fake certificates of vaccination against coronavirus increased by 50% after the introduction of mandatory vaccinations for service workers.

The maximum penalty under the article on forgery, production or circulation of forged documents (Article 327 of the Criminal Code) is imprisonment for up to four years.
