Directions and prospects of food import substitution in the farms of Kuzbass Governor Sergei Tsivilev discussed with the farmers of the Topkinsky district.
During the field meeting, the HEAD of the region visited the farms and got acquainted with the range of products on the spot, found out what difficulties the villagers faced and what kind of support they need from the region.
“Minimizing the dependence of the region on imported products is the main task facing agricultural producers. We meet the needs of the region in our own products and the expansion of production is a good sign, which means that the products are in demand and can compete with imported products. Moreover, our farms can produce not only products from the social set, but also delicacies that were previously bought abroad. Kuzbass farmers already produce a wide range of premium dairy, MEAT and fish products, while what farmers in the region do is fresher and more natural products,” said Sergey Tsivilev.
Sodruzhestvo LLC has been producing butter since 2005, and since 2018 it has launched a CHEESE FACTORY, where it produces 15 types of cheeses, including Gouda, Maasdam, Tilsiter, Parmesan and others. The production capacity is 40 tons of cheese and 10-15 tons of butter per month. Products are produced according to classic recipes only from high-quality MILK, which is purchased from the farms of the Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Promyshlenny and Yurginsky districts. Cheeses produced by Topka are in no way inferior to imported ones and are a completely natural product without plant components.
The products are in demand, therefore, within the framework of the import substitution program, the enterprise plans to increase the volume of cheese production by 2.5 times. The construction of additional workshops is scheduled for 2024-2025, the investment will amount to 120 million rubles. 40 new highly qualified jobs will be created. Currently, the company employs 34 employees.
In general, there are two production facilities in the region, as well as about a dozen farmers, engaged in cheese making on an industrial scale. In 2021, 241 tons of cheeses and cheese products were produced in the region.
In addition, Sergei Tsivilev visited the farm "Farmers of Siberia", where they produce semi-finished meat and vegetable products from raw materials produced on farms in the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Republics of Tyva and Khakassia. The products are supplied to Siberian restaurant chains, replacing products that were previously imported from European countries.
The head of the region also visited the Rusalochka enterprise, which produces more than 300 types of products: dried, dried, salted, smoked fish, fish and vegetable salads, seaweed. The company has been operating since 2004 and is constantly increasing production volumes and the number of jobs. Now 55 people here produce about 30 tons per month. Sales of products are carried out at fairs and their own outlet. In the nearest plans of the owners - to enter the sale in large retail chains, including outside the region.
