An explosive device went off in the entrance of the house of the rector of Kherson State University Tatyana Tomilina, she was injured, a man died, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the regional administration.

"An attempt has been made. An improvised explosive device went off in the entrance of the house. Tatyana Tomilina received minor injuries,” the authorities said.

A TASS source said that the deceased was Tomilina's bodyguard.

According to Baza, the explosive device went off around 4:00 pm between the second and third floors, Tomilina lives on the third. The Telegram channel writes that she was wounded by shrapnel, she was diagnosed with concussion and shell shock. Tomilina was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the regional hospital, Baza reports.
