
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of HEALTH to conduct an inventory of the volume of CORONAVIRUS vaccines in the country, the government said in a statement.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Health were instructed to conduct an inventory of vaccine volumes in order to update information on the balances, predict the need and form a reserve,” the report said.
The press service of the Cabinet added that the decision was made against the backdrop of delays in the supply of vaccines to the regions due to increased demand. The ministries should report on the results of the inventory by July 21.

Mandatory vaccination of 60% of employees in retail trade, catering and a number of other industries has been introduced in many Russian regions. The Moscow authorities were the first to introduce this measure. Mishustin stated the need to bring herd immunity to a level of at least 80%.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that in recent weeks the vaccination rate has increased six to seven times and on some days exceeds 800 thousand people a day. The production of vaccines, according to the agency, has reached the level of 30 million kits per month, and in a few months it can be increased to 45–40 million. The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are also in constant contact with the regional authorities “on routing supplies in order to close demand where there is an abrupt increase in demand.
