
In the Tambov region, the production of poultry MEAT and edible by-products has significantly increased - in January-April of this year, 103.3 thousand tons were shipped. This is 19% more than last year. The production of semi-finished meat products increased by almost 7% - 38 thousand tons of them were shipped.
Compared to the same period in 2021, Tambov region enterprises produced twice as much SUGAR - 69 thousand tons. The reason for this growth is an increase in the carryover of last year's beet crop, as well as the fact that more sugar is produced from molasses.
it is also worth noting that in the first four months of 2022, the production of MILK, butter, cheese and sour-milk products increased in the Tambov region.
In general, in January-April 2022, the food production index increased by 8% compared to the same period last year. In the first four months of the year, food industry enterprises shipped goods of their own production, as well as performed work and services, in the amount of more than 53 billion rubles. This is 28% more than last year.

Moreover, we feed other regions as well. I am proud of our farmers, their professionalism and love for their native land. And this result also speaks of the effectiveness of support measures for agricultural producers implemented in the Tambov region. We are constantly improving the mechanisms of state support for rural workers, and if necessary, we will consider the issue of its expansion,” said Acting HEAD of the Administration of the Tambov Region Maxim Egorov.
