“In preparation for the introduction of mandatory labeling, manufacturers can receive equipment without payment in the first year, payment will be made on interest-free installments during the second and third years. Additionally, for small and medium-sized manufacturers, the operator provided compensation for 50% of equipment costs,” the CRPT reported.
The programs will be available to businesses after the Government of the Russian Federation adopts a resolution on mandatory requirements. it is noted that the collection of applications has already started on the website honestznak.rf.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to begin mandatory labeling of medicinal products for veterinary use with means of identification from September 1 this year. From this date it is planned to launch registration in the Chestny ZNAK system, and from October 1, 2024 , labeling codes will already be applied to veterinary drugs.
“Since the introduction of mandatory labeling is already being actively discussed, the issue of launching support programs could not go unnoticed. Thanks to the constructive approach of industry unions and involved businesses, measures have been developed that will simplify the process of introducing labeling and reduce the burden on the industry. The programs will be available, including to participants in the experiment, to which 37 manufacturers have already joined,” the release quotes the words of Egor Zhavoronkov, HEAD of the group of socially significant goods at the CRPT.

The CRPT notes that ROSSELKHOZNADZOR annually identifies violations as part of unscheduled selective control, and also blocks sites where illegal drugs for animals are sold. 20% of veterinary drug manufacturers have experience working with the Chestny ZNAK system, since they also produce medical drugs, the labeling of which began in 2019.
