May 31, Gomel. In the village of Dubrova, Svetlogorsk district, a man born in 1979 drowned in an artificial reservoir, BelTA reports with reference to the Gomel regional organization OSVOD.
The tragedy happened on the evening of May 30. Comrades rested on the shore of the reservoir. The men were about to leave when one of them was in the water. A man born in 1967 rushed to help his friend, but also began to drown. The rescuer was pulled out, and the man, born in 1979, disappeared under water. The divers of the Svetlogorsk rescue station OSVOD started searching for him on the morning of May 31. At about 10.20 the body of the deceased was found at a depth of almost 3 m. OSVOD clarified: he was in outerwear.As a version of what happened, they consider falling into the water while intoxicated. The exact cause of death will be established by a forensic medical examination.
