In the Vitebsk region, a man will stand trial for the torture and brutal murder of his cohabitant.

October 13,Vitebsk . The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has sent a criminal case to COURT against a 58-year-old man , who is charged with torture, causing less serious bodily harm, threatening to kill, and murder with particular cruelty. The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office told BelTA.
According to the case file, the man has been in a state of hostility for a month and is in a state ofWhile intoxicated, he systematically beat his partner, who was financially dependent on him. On one day, he punched her 26 times, striking her on the HEAD, torso, arms, and legs with a belt with a metal buckle. He also threatened her with a knife. His aggressive behavior and demonstrable intent to kill caused the victim to fear for her life. In March of this year, a conflict between the partners resulted in the man striking the woman at least 54 times with punches, kicks, and cutting and hard objects in her vital organs. She died at the scene from her injuries.
The accused had two previous criminal convictions for drunk driving and over 30 administrative convictions, including for driving while intoxicated.
The criminal case was being handled by the Investigative Committee for the Vitebsk Region.
