March 31, Gomel. In the center of Gomel, a driver was detained with 2.5 ppm of ALCOHOL, BelTA learned from the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
State traffic inspectors drew attention to the uncertain movement of the Audi car along Krasnoarmeiskaya Street and gave the driver a signal to stop. "The motorist first slowed down and then continued moving towards Pobeda Avenue. When another traffic police crew joined the pursuit, the Audi stopped, the driver was detained," the police department said.Behind the wheel was a 40-year-old Gomel resident with signs of intoxication , besides, he did not have the right to drive. A medical examination showed more than 2.5 ppm in his body. Three administrative protocols were drawn up against the man, the car was placed in a guarded parking lot.
"For drunk driving, a fine of up to 200 basic units (1 BV - Br37) with deprivation of the right to drive up to five years is provided.
